Shin Megami Tensei V: How to Sprint & Run Faster

Developed by Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei V was originally announced back in 2017 when the Nintendo Switch got its official reveal. It’s the latest entry in the dark, turn-based JRPG series and it puts players in control of the Nahobino, a Japanese high school student who also has the power to command demons and angels in battle. You’re tasked with freeing Tokyo from malevolent forces, while also deciding for yourself whether law or chaos is the path humanity should embark on. Here’s how to sprint and run faster in Shin Megami Tensei V.

The Nahobino already moves at a rather brisk pace in Shin Megami Tensei V. Just by pushing the left stick around, he’ll start jogging, allowing you to get around pretty quickly. However, the maps in this game are also a lot larger than what series fans might be used to, which means that there’s a lot more ground to cover.

To help you explore the entire map quickly, there’s a sprint function that lets the Nahobino dash around faster. To do this, simply hit the ZL and ZR buttons together at the same time. The Nahobino will then start dashing ahead automatically, and you can adjust his direction by tilting the left stick left or right.

To get him to stop, simply hit the ZL or ZR button again, and he’ll stop right in his tracks and you can start jogging around normally again. We recommend using the sprint function when you’re backtracking, or when you’re just trying to scout the map for any Miman you might have missed.

If it’s your first time checking out a map, stick to the jog, as you don’t want to accidentally bump into an enemy you haven’t encountered before and get in trouble before you’re able to prepare accordingly.

That’s all you need to know about how to sprint and run faster in Shin Megami Tensei V. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
