New World: How to Increase Inventory Size

Developed and published by Amazon Games, New World is an ambitious pirate-themed MMORPG that’s set in a fantastical world called Aeturnum. There’s a huge focus on PvP, and players are able to join different factions and participate in wars against each other while trying to claim territory. There are also tons of items to farm for and collect, which means you’ll often find yourself trying to carry too many things, especially if you want to craft and gather. Here’s how to increase inventory size in New World.

Increasing Inventory Size in New World

Even if you’re not planning on leveling up your trade skills by gathering materials, you’re still eventually going to run into that same inventory management problem as everyone else with how much loot you pick up. At the start of the game, you’ll only have 200 units of inventory space, but it’s possible to increase that limit at levels 15 and 30 respectively.

At those levels, you’ll unlock bag slots, which means that you can equip a bag to increase your inventory size. You’ll obtain your first bag naturally just by playing through the main story quests that get you acquainted with its various mechanics. At higher levels, however, you’ll likely want to look into getting a better bag.

You can craft one at the Outfitting Station, though you’ll need Rugged Leather, Steel, and a Major Rune of Holding, as well as a high enough trade skill level for Armoring. You can also buy one off the Trading Post, though you should expect to pay a good sum of money for those.

It’s possible to get additional perks on the bags to give you even more inventory space, but this is the only way in New World to carry more items on your person. The rest of your stuff will need to be stored in the settlement storage sheds.

That’s all you need to know about how to increase inventory size in New World. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
