Developed and published by Amazon Games, New World is an ambitious pirate-themed MMORPG that features three different factions that player can join, as well as wars they can participate in while trying to claim territory. This game also has an entirely player-driven economy, which can result in constantly fluctuating prices as you travel to various settlements. And, of course, there are plenty of materials to grind for as well. Here’s how to get Rivercress Stem in New World.
Getting Rivercress Stem in New World
Rivercress Stem is a material that you can farm in New World, and it’s obtained from the Rivercress plant you find in the wild. As the name implies, it’s typically found along rivers, so your best bet would be to look for any lakes or rivers and check the coast for the plant.
We’ve included a screenshot down below to indicate what they look like:
Below is a screenshot of their locations on the world map, courtesy of the folks working on the New World Interactive Map. The Rivercress will respawn every five minutes or so, similar to the other nodes in the game, so you can farm it repeatedly in a play session.
The Rivercress is a bright glowing blue plant, making it really obvious to spot from afar, so you can’t miss it. However, you do need to get your harvesting skill up to level 30 before you’re able to actually harvest it. This can be done by crafting a sickle and harvesting any Hemp and Herb nodes you see out in the wild. The more you harvest, the faster your skill level will go up.
Hemp, in particular, will give you the most experience at lower levels.
Once you have enough, go ahead and interact with the Rivercress by pressing the E button, and you’ll get the New World Rivercress Stem and some Water Motes. The former is used for crafting potions and other arcana uses, while the latter is used for crafting the ice gauntlets.
