Developed and published by Amazon Games, New World is an ambitious pirate-themed MMORPG set in the world Aeturnum. Players will be able to choose one of three factions to join, participate in wars and claim territory, and farm for plenty of materials and items to try to get their trade skills up. Like any other MMO, some materials are harder to get than others. Here’s how to get Fae Iron in New World.
Fae Iron is a green tier material you can get in this game, and while the method to actually getting it is pretty simple and straightforward, it’s also got a very low drop rate so you’ll be farming for a bit.
Getting Fae Iron in New World
First off, getting Fae Iron simply requires you to farm iron veins that you see around the world. They can be found in forests on the ground, and are also commonly located on mountains and rocky terrain. They look like large black rocks and they’ll respawn every five minutes or so, so you don’t have to worry about missing out on it.
We’ve also included their locations on the map down below, courtesy of the folks working on the New World Interactive Map:
That being said, it’s recommended that you try to boost your mining luck when trying to go for Fae Iron. This can be done by cooking higher tier foods and eating them before you start mining. It’s also possible to farm it without any luck boosts at all, but it’ll just take a bit more time. Aside from that, it’s just a matter of repeatedly hitting up iron veins and hoping that you get lucky with the next strike.
Fae Iron is used for crafting higher tier weapons as well, such as the upgraded musket.
