The good news is that things haven’t changed from FIFA 21. To do a lobbed through ball, simply press and hold the LB or L1 button while you press and hold the through ball button (Y/ Triangle). Let go of Y/ Triangle when you’ve got enough power on the ball to reach the player you want to pass it to.
You’ll also need to use the left analog stick during all of this to direct where you want the lobbed through ball to go.
This can be used particularly effectively with fast strikers or wingers. Playing the ball over the back of your opponent’s defensive line to a fast player that can beat the defenders for pace will often leave you in a 1v1 situation with the goalkeeper. Then all you have to do is score.
