Humankind: How to Increase Stability

Humankind is a new 4X strategy game from Amplitude and Sega, and it definitely feels like the biggest competitor to Sid Meier’s Civilization series we’ve seen so far. It builds upon the foundation of Civilization while introducing its own unique mechanics and twists to help evolve the genre, which might appeal to fans who have played the former to death. Here’s how to increase Stability in Humankind.

Increasing Stability in Humankind

Expanding your territory and building new outposts and cities in Humankind can be very exciting, but it also comes at a cost. The more your territory expands, the more facilities you’ll need to build on it to keep it sustainable. Food is an extremely important resource and it’s required to help keep your population growing, but building too many farmers’ quarters or other structures will reduce your Stability rating.

If you let your Stability fall, your empire could crumble and people could start to revolt. You don’t want that.

To keep your Stability up, here are a few things you can do:

  • Build military structures.
  • Build landmarks.
  • Build defensive infrastructures and host ceremonies.

Every city you establish will have the ability to build a landmark specific to your civilization, which will help increase Stability. Past that, though, you’ll need to start building military structures if you want to keep your empire stable. The military garrisons will help to strengthen your combat units and also increase your Stability. If you run out of tiles to build on, focusing on the defensive infrastructures will also help to keep it high.

It can be tempting to focus on food, money, and production, but make sure to get your Stability up every once in a while.

That’s all you need to know about how to increase Stability in Humankind. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
