Monster Hunter Stories 2: How to Get & Hatch Eggs

Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a spin-off of the popular action game series. Instead of being a real-time action game where you have to actively evade and strike monsters at the right moment, though, Wings of Ruin is a turn-based JRPG with a much heavier focus on story elements. You also have the ability to add monsters to your party and fight alongside them. Here’s how to get and hatch eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2.

If you want to have more Monsties at your disposal, you’ll need to hatch eggs. But before that, you’ll need to actually get the eggs yourself.

Getting Eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2

The early hours of the game do a pretty decent job of teaching you how to get them, but we’ll go over the method here.

Essentially, eggs can be found in monster nests, which are usually deep within the various dungeons and caves scattered around the open-world. You can identify them pretty easily by the cave entrances you come across while exploring.

Head into an instanced dungeon, and chances are good that you’ll come across a little nest with eggs inside. Once you have them, you’ll need to bring them back to the village so they can hatch.

How to Hatch Eggs

The next step in this process is to hatch the egg itself. Back at the village, head to the Stable Paw near your house and talk to it.

From here, you can access a menu that allows you to hand over all the eggs you currently have in your inventory and hatch them all at once.

The process is instataneous, which means that you don’t have to wait long at all to get a new monster in your party.

Once hatched, you can access them through your party menu and even set a new active Monstie to ride around in the open-world.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and hatch eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
