Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is the latest MonHun game to be released for the Nintendo Switch. Unlike the mainline entries, however, this is a turn-based JRPG that also allows you to recruit Monsties to your party which can fight alongside you. Some of the core mechanics of the series have been carried over as well, though they’ve been streamlined to some extent. Here’s how to combine items in Monster Hunter Stories 2.
Combining Items in Monster Hunter Stories 2
While it is possible to just buy most of what you need from the stores available in the village, sometimes it’s just more efficient to craft them yourself by using the combine function in the game. This allows you to use the random resources and raw materials you’ve picked up while exploring the open-world, and put them to better use.
At the start of the game, you’ll only have some very basic recipes that let you craft simple items like herbs, which can heal you up in combat. But as you progress further, you’ll be able to obtain more recipes and learn how to craft more complex items to aid you in battle.
To combine items in Monster Hunter Rise, bring up the menu by pressing the X button. Then, pick the Combine option. From here, you’ll see a list of all the available items that you can craft, as well as a list of the materials you need to craft them.
Simply pick the item you want to craft, then select the materials you need and confirm your selection with the A button. That’s all there is to it, and the item will automatically get deposited into your inventory.
That’s all you need to know about how to combine items in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
