We learn that the animation itself will be produced by FLAGHSIP LINE and Yumeta Company x Graphinica.

The trailer shows plenty of mecha action featuring the iconic training battle scene with the Type-97 Fubuki. On top of that, we finally get the first look at the character design of Takeru Shirogane, Sumika Kagami, and Meiya Mitsurugi. They will be voiced respectively by Kouichi Tamiki, Tomori Kusunoki, and Karin Nanami.

It’s worth mentioning that the original voice actors from the visual novels won’t reprise their roles. A new generation has been selected for the cast because its creators want Muv-Luv to live on for a long time.

You can check the trailer below and take a better look at the character design in the gallery. You can also watch the previous trailer and the newest reveal of the upcoming Muv-Luv game Project Mikhail.

The trailer also reveals the staff: the original story is by Muv-Luv creator Kouki Yoshimune, Yukio Nishimoto is the director, the story editor is Tatsihiko Urahata, Takuya Tani is handling the character designer, and series’ veteran Evan Call is composing the score.

The series will air starting in October on Fuji TV’s programming block +Ultra.

If you’re interested in the Muv-Luv franchise in general, during recent events we saw the reveal of the official title of Muv-Luv Resonative (which is the continuation of The Day After) and of more artwork from the anime.

A few months ago, we heard the much-awaited announcement that Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (also known as Rumbling Hearts) will finally be released in English.

For additional information, you should definitely read our interview with the series’ creator Kouki Yoshimune and producer Kazutoshi Matsumura, alongside our semi-recent chat with Kitakuou about Project Immortal.
