Fortnite Downed Black Helicopter & Damaged Telescope Locations (Foreshadowing Questline Guide)

Fortnite’s Foreshadowing questline has just unlocked following the 16.50 update earlier today, and the first two quests are live. Players will first need to ‘Investigate a downed black helicopter’ followed by ‘Repairing Damaged Telescopes’ in Fortnite. In this guide, we’ll talk you through where you’ll need to head to do complete both of these Foreshadowing quests.

Where to Investigate Downed Black Helicopter in Fortnite

The downed black helicopter can be found north of Misty Meadows and west of Lazy Lake. It’s just north of the large dam on the lake’s west side at the bottom of the map, too.

Once you land here, simply walk over to it and press Square/ X/ Y/ E to ‘Tune’ the helicopter.

This will cause a short audio message to be played, ticking off this part of the Foreshadowing questline.

Where to Repair Damaged Telescopes in Fortnite

We’ve marked all seven damaged telescope locations on Fortnite’s map below with red circles.

For those who want the Fortnite damaged telescope locations in written form, we’ve listed them all below.

  • On the hill east of Craggy Cliffs
  • Northwest of Dirty Docks and south of Steamy Stacks
  • On the snowy mountain east of Retail Row
  • By the little bay in the southeast corner of the map.
  • On the hill west of Misty Meadows
  • On the coast north of the Fancy View house on the west side of the map
  • On the southwest corner of the Lockie’s Lighthouse island at the north of the map

Once you reach any of these locations, walk over to the damaged telescope and press and hold X/Square/ Y or E to repair it. You’ll need 20 metal to repair each telescope, too, so make sure to stock up whenever you can.
