Getting Toxic Kumori in Monster Hunter Rise

The Toxic Kumori is a rare insect-type resource that you can get in the game, and it’s used for crafting certain types of weapons and armor. However, you can’t obtain it just by exploring the levels in Monster Hunter Rise; instead, you’ll need to make use of the Trade Request option with the Argosy in order to get some of these insects.

After completing your first few 1-star Village quests, the Buddy Plaza will become fully available to you and you can speak with the NPC standing near the ship to access the Argosy functions. Choose the Trade Request option, and you can send a Buddy out on an expedition to bring back specified resources.

It’s worth noting that the Toxic Kumori isn’t selectable as one of the Trade Request options, but you do have a chance of getting it as a bonus reward if you ask your Buddy to bring back plants or fish-type items. If you take a look at the right-hand side of the screen when choosing an item, you can see the name of the marketplace your Buddy will go to for the items. You want items located at the Icebarb Bazaar in order to have a chance of getting a Toxic Kumori.
