Loop Hero: How to Beat the Lich

Loop Hero is a brand new deck-building rogue-lite RPG from FourQuarters and Devolver Digital that was just released on Steam last week. It features a very compelling gameplay loop and a handful of different classes that offer up fresh play styles, as well as tough bosses that will test your mettle. Here’s how to beat the Lich in Loop Hero.

Beating the Lich in Loop Hero

The Lich is the very first boss you’ll encounter in Loop Hero, and he can seem very intimidating especially if you’re still pretty new to the game. Considering how slow camp upgrades can be in the beginning, you’ll likely still only have the Warrior class to work with, but don’t worry. Beating him with the Warrior is very manageable.

The most important thing to know about the Lich is that he’s a very slow, hard-hitting boss. This means that stacking counter on your character isn’t going to be very effective, as your counter damage won’t be enough to kill him before he pummels you to death. Likewise, while HP regen and vampirism are useful when fighting regular mobs, they won’t be that useful against the Lich.

What you really want is to build up evasion on your Warrior. It’s much easier to build up evasion and attack speed on your Rogue, but it’s definitely doable on Warrior as well. If you have about 35 to 40% on evasion by the time you reach the Lich, you should be good to go.

In addition to that, you should also try to get the Herbalist’s Hut structure in camp so that you can get some potions on you. Finally, try to place tiles all around your camp while you’re looping so that when the Lich spawns, he won’t be able to summon any towers, which make him even more powerful. By preventing the towers from spawning, the Lich becomes much less of a threat and you shouldn’t have too much trouble killing him.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat the Lich in Loop Hero. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
