As you’re exploring Lake Lapcat, you’re going to find silver blocks with a red Bowser face on the side of them. These are called Fury Blocks, and no matter what Mario does, he won’t be able to break them himself. That doesn’t mean they’re indestructible, however, you just need to know how to destroy Fury Blocks in Bowser’s Fury.
These blocks often hide a secret. Sometimes it can be a hidden Cat Shine, other times it can be a clear pipe, leading to a special level in the skies that’ll ultimately reward you with a Cat Shine if you complete it. As such, if you’re looking to get all 100 Cat Shines on offer in the game, you’ll want to make sure you’re seeking out and destroying these Fury Blocks.
How to Destroy Fury Blocks in Bowser’s Fury
The clue here is in the name. Fury Blocks can only be destroyed by Giga Bowser when he comes to rain down fireballs and breathe fire in your direction. You’ll know this is happening when it gets very dark and stormy in-game.
When this happens, start making your way to the Fury Blocks you’ve seen and stand in front of them.
Now, when Bowser spots you, he’ll move into a position facing you and the Fury Blocks and they’ll begin to glow red. Bowser will then breathe fire at you, destroying the blocks in the process.
Make sure that there’s some cover you can dive behind as the flames approach you, so you can avoid taking damage while also seeing what the blocks were hiding.
Then it’s simply a case of grabbing the Cat Shine hiding behind the Fury Blocks, or heading up the clear pipe to see what challenge awaits you.
That’s everything you need to know on destroying Fury Blocks in Bowser’s Fury. For more tips and tricks, check out our wiki, search for Twinfinite, or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
