As you explore the Niwa complex as Marianne in The Medium, you’ll find yourself doing a lot of running about. You may need to get a particular item or traverse the various corridors, solving puzzles to uncover more of the dark secrets there. The problem is, Marianne isn’t the fastest walker in the world, so there are no doubt going to be times where you want to sprint in The Medium, so you can run a little faster.
How to Sprint in The Medium
To sprint, all you need to do is press and hold the LT button while you’re using the left analog stick to move in the direction you want to go. As long as the button is held down, Marianne will run a little bit faster, though this still doesn’t always feel like she’s at full tilt.
Unfortunately, The Medium limits how quickly Marianne can traverse different areas, regardless of whether you’re holding down LT to sprint or not. Sometimes, you won’t be able to go any faster than a brisk walk, other times you’ll be given the freedom to sprint a lot faster.
Ultimately, you want to just keep the sprint button held down whenever you do want to pick up the pace. It may not always be the fast run that you’d like, but it’s certainly better than the slow plod that is her default movement speed. That being said, running about the Niwa complex does take away from some of The Medium’s creepy atmosphere, so sometimes it’s more enjoyable to take a stroll and take in the spooky sights.
That’s everything you need to know on how to sprint and run faster in The Medium. For more tips, tricks, and guides, search for Twinfinite, or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
