Naughty Dog has released several new images for the upcoming live-action Uncharted film. Nolan North, the voice actor for Nathan Drake in the video game series, paid a visit to the set, and in one of the images, we even see North speaking to Tom Holland, who will be playing a younger Drake in the film.
The two other photos that were published on Twitter seem to set the scene as to where Nathan Drake’s journey will be taking him this time around.
The first image looks like some rare artifact that is embedded into a slot in what looks like a puzzle taken straight out of Naughty Dog’s cinematic action-adventure games.
There’s also a book that is open to a page that shows off a picture of the famous Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan. The tweet containing the photo included this quote as well:
“Meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown.” – Ferdinand Magellan
The Uncharted film will release in theaters on July 16, 2021, with Tom Holland (Spider-Man) in the leading role. Mark Wahlberg will play Drake’s mentor, Victor Sullivan. The film is set to be a prequel to the video game series’ narrative and will explore the origins of Sully and Nathan.
