Genshin Impact is filled to bursting with characters you can add to your party, and each comes with their own personalities that you can get a better glimpse at the more you interact with them. Is There Romance in Genshin Impact? Answered
As it stands, no, there are no romance options in Genshin Impact.
Instead, the game’s many party members are meant to help you mix up the action RPG gameplay in a variety of ways. Every new character you find has different abilities you can implement in combat, and these abilities can in turn be used alongside other characters to better take down enemies.
Granted, characters do still have distinct personalities of their own, and you can learn more about them by interacting with them through quests and dialogue. However, doing so won’t ever lead to a deepening of your relationship in a romantic sense, and won’t lead to any romance-based bonuses.
Will Romance Ever Be Added to the Game?
As for whether romance might be added to Genshin Impact at a later date, it’s hard to say.
Given the current design and focus of the title, it’s unlikely the game’s developer miHoYo would change course and add the feature in. Doing so could require a fairly large amount of time and resources that could in turn take away from the game’s release schedule for new characters and events.
However, if fan demand for the feature is high enough, then it is possible romance options could be added at a later date in some shape or form, either as a more minor gameplay mechanic or as optional DLC. That said, we wouldn’t hold our breath.
