The Survival Tent is a crucial piece of equipment during your travels across the wild world of Appalachia in Fallout 76. It allows players to sleep and rest up, cook up supplies, stash items, and most importantly, play the banjo. The problem is, the game doesn’t do the best job of explaining how to place the Survival Tent in Fallout 76 once you’ve got it. This guide will explain all you need to know.
Before we dive into placing the Survival Tent, it’s worth pointing out that this is an item exclusive to the Fallout 1st Members premium subscription service for the game. If you’ve not paid for the this subscription, then you won’t get the Survival Tent.
How to Place Survival Tent in Fallout 76
Once the Survival Tent is in your possession, you can place it down anywhere in the world where it’s not obstructing an existing building.
To place your Survival Tent, press up on the d-pad on Xbox One and PS4 to open your favorites menu, and then press Y/ Triangle to select your Survival Tent.
You’ll then be free to place your Survival Tent wherever you want in your nearby surroundings, as long as there are no obstructions where you want to place it.
If you fancy changing where you’ve put your Survival Tent, you can move it for free, unlike the CAMP. What’s worth noting, however, is that the Survival Tent cannot be placed inside or near to your regular CAMP. As these can both be conveniently fast-traveled to for free, we’d advise placing them far from one another for traversal convenience.
