Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is finally here and fans of the original trilogy should be pleased as many classic elements are intact in this faithful follow up. Gems and relics are both here once again and provide a similar challenge for fans that are up for it. However, one aspect of relic hunting that can be a bit annoying is the distracting time trial ghost that appears. Here’s how to turn off the relic time trial ghost in Crash 4.
How to Turn Off Relic Time Trial Ghost in Crash 4
Crash 4 is fantastic mostly because it feels like a direct and faithful follow up to the classic PS1 games with just a modern look that suits it well. It’s every bit as challenging as the originals and there’s lots to enjoy, including going for 100% by getting all the relics.
The time trial relic ghost appears when you replay levels to get relics. It’s there to help give you an idea of what you should be doing to get the fastest possible times. Some people may like that, but if you’re like me, you might find it incredibly distracting.
To disable it, simply go to the Options menu and then go to Gameplay. This is the same place where you can switch from Retro to Modern; in that same menu underneath that, you can turn the relic time trial ghost on and off.
That’s it! With that checked off you’ll never see it again unless you turn it back on.
