Sakura Wars is a decently lengthy game, so if you make a mistake you’d like to rectify, you wouldn’t be blamed for wanting to know how to save fast and often. The game isn’t super clear about how to do this though, which is why we’re here to walk you through how to save in Sakura Wars.
How to Save in Sakura Wars
There are a few methods you can use to save in Sakura Wars, and each is only available at certain points in the game.
On one hand, the game offers a manual save system that is available at specific points throughout the game. These range from the beginning and end of a chapter to intermissions scattered throughout longer chapters with multiple story points.
Though sporadic, these points allow you to make hard checkpoints you can return to at any time, and can allow you to attempt to clear dialogue exchanges in the best ways possible with ease.
How to Auto-Save Your Game
There’s also Sakura Wars’ auto-save function. As you progress through the game and pass key points, the game will automatically record your progress with a temporary file. This typically triggers after you play through key dialogue exchanges with characters, or after you’ve cleared combat missions.
However, it’s worth noting that this file will be rewritten each and every time you complete a new segment of the game. As such, you won’t be able to return to points before where the auto-save occurred without loading a proper save file or starting a new game.
Hopefully this cleared up how to save in Sakura Wars. For more on the game, check out some of its many trailers. They cover a variety of topics from who the game’s demonic antagonists are to who the artists behind the characters’ designs are.
