The Doom Slayer is a virtually invincible one-man army that loves to do nothing more than slay demons. However, this warrior of legend can still die if his health drops to zero. Here is how to heal your health in Doom Eternal.
Healing your Health in Doom Eternal
Keep an eye on that green bar in the lower-left part of your screen to keep track of your health. If it drops too low, then you’ll want to start looking around for health pick-ups scattered around the levels.
These items come in a few distinct varieties that will instantly let you know how much health they will heal. Just walk over the pick-up to heal a bit of your health. Here’s a table to break down all of the health pick-ups in Doom Eternal:
White Health Kit | Restores 20 Health |
Blue Health Bottle | Restores 10 Health |
There are limited amounts of these health items in each level. Fortunately, there’s another way to heal your health in Doom Eternal. This is where Glory Kills start to come in handy since they unleash fountains of health from the enemies you defeat.
When a demon can be taken down with a Glory Kill, its entire body will begin to flash blue. Once you’re close enough to the enemy to take them out with this move they will flash orange. Press in the right stick to perform the Glory Kill and get healed.
Here’s a short summary of how to heal your health in Doom Eternal:
- Get health pick-ups
Just walk over the blue bottle or white kits to restore some health.
- Use Glory Kills
If you’ve picked up all the health in an area, then you’ll have to hit R3 to perform a Glory Kill.
- Reap your rewards
Using Glory Kills will make health pick-ups explode out of vanquished demons.
