Since the release of the Shadowbringers expansion, Square Enix has been consistently updating Final Fantasy XIV with extra content for players to sink their teeth into. New cosmetics have also been added, such as new emotes, mounts, and minions. Here’s how to get the wall lean emote in FFXIV.
Getting the Wall Lean Emote in FFXIV
In order to get this emote, you’ll need to accept the new Ishgard Restoration quest. To get started, head over to Ishgard – Foundation, then accept the quest at the recruitment board titled Towards the Firmament. The quest itself is located at the coordinates X: 9.7, Y: 11.5.
After that, it’s simply a matter of following the objective markers as Francel introduces you to the key players of the quest, and give you an idea of what you need to do to contribute to the Restoration effort.
Once you’ve gotten through all of the initial introductions and tutorials, you can start working towards getting the new wall lean emote. To do this, you’ll need to contribute materials and items to the Restoration effort. To that end, you’ll need at least one crafting or gathering job at level 60, and you’ll be able to start crafting and gathering items that can be turned in for Skybuilders’ Scrips.
Check your crafting and gathering logs, click on the Special Recipes tab, then look at the Ishgard Restoration section to see what items you can turn in. The higher the quality or collectability of the item, the more Scrips you’ll get for your trouble.
After you’ve gathered 1,800 Scrips, talk to Enie at the Firmanent, and purchase the Ballroom Etiquette – The Winsome Wallflower item. Use the item in your inventory, and the wall lean emote will get added to your emote and gestures menu. After that you can use it like any other emote you’ve already unlocked in the game.
