How to Get the Bomb Palanquin Mount in FFXIV

The Bomb Palanquin Mount is a pretty cute-looking balloon seat-style mount that you can get in the game. It’s also a flying mount, which means that it can come in handy from the Heavensward expansion onward.

Firstly, if you’ve been keeping up with your beast tribes and leveling up your loyalty with them, it is possible to purchase the Bomb Palanquin Horn item from the Kobold vendor at the 789th Order Dig. The item will cost 120,000 gil, which isn’t too bad at all, but you do need to have leveled up your beast tribe loyalty quite a bit.

Alternatively, you can also get the Horn item from the Itinerant Moogle vendor in exchange for 30 Irregular Tomestones of Soldiery. To get these Tomestones, you simply need to participate in the following duties:

  • Castrum Meridianum
  • Cutter’s Cry
  • Dun Scaith
  • Dzemael Darkhold
  • Hidden Gorge
  • The Aurum Vale
  • The Praetorium
  • The Stone Vigil
  • The Sunken Temple of Qarn
  • The Void Ark
  • The Weeping City of Mhach

These are mostly duties from A Realm Reborn designed to help newer players find participants to get clears for older content. You’ll receive a Tomestone for each clear, and once you have 30 of them, you can trade them with the Itinerant Moogle for the Bomb Palanquin Horn.

Use the Horn from your inventory, and the mount will be added to your collection.
