All you have to do is reach chapter 3 of the main story, and beat the main boss, Draug. This is a pretty tricky boss fight, as you’ll need to deal with physical and magical barriers. However, once you beat Draug and free Barry, Mamori will inherit Draug as her new Mirage, and you’ll be able to start making use of him in the main party.

Mamori Minamoto is a pretty useful character in Tokyo Mirage Sessions, as she makes use of Axe attacks and skills. She’s great with physical damage, but also has an affinity for ice attacks, and can follow up with ice-based Session moves later on.

Her magic stat isn’t all that great, but she makes up for it with high strength and defense, which means she’s can a pretty good tank for the party.
