The region of Galar is now bust wide open for players to explore at their leisure in Pokemon Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch. If you’re looking to complete your Pokédex, however, you’ll need to catch ‘em all. Here’s how to evolve Lampent into Chandelure in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Evolving Lampent in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Before you can evolve Lampent, chances are you’re going to need to get your hands on one first.
How to Get Lampent
Lampent can be caught in the wild in both Sword and Shield. Specifically, you’ll want to head to the Lake of Outrage. Here, you’ll have a 14% chance of it spawning in Intense Sun. It’ll be between Lv. 55 and Lv. 58.
Alternatively, you can get Lampent’s first evolution, Litwick, from Motostoke Bank in Intense Sun with a 30% spawn chance.
Litwick also has a 25% spawn rate in Intense Sun or Heavy Fog at Bridge Field. It’ll be between Lv. 26 and Lv. 28.
If you’ve got a Litwick, you’ll then need train it up to Lv. 41 to make it evolve into Lampent.
Now that we’ve got a Lampent one way or the other, we’re ready to evolve it into Chandelure.
Evolving Lampent Into Chandelure in Pokemon Sword and Shield
To evolve Lampent into Chanedlure, you’ll need to get your hands on a Dusk Stone. This acts just like any other evolution stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Dusk Stones can be found by heading over to the Digging Duo in the Wild Area. You’ll want to select Reward-Focused digging, and you’ll need to hand over some Watts for their efforts.
The easiest way to get a Dusk Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield is to simply pick one up from the farming spot at the Lake of Outrage. You can check out our guide on exactly how to get there, here.
Once you’ve got one, simply open up your bag, select it, and choose the Lampent in your party. This will start a cutscene that sees it transform into Chanedlure.
