The Outer Worlds, the new RPG from Private Division and Obsidian, is now available on PC and consoles. With complex quests, interesting characters, and a variety of skills to unlock, there’s everything you’d expect in a game from the team behind Fallout: New Vegas. So that you can tackle quests at different times of the day, here’s everything you need to know about how to wait and pass time in Outer Worlds.
The time of day can change how easy it is to sneak past enemies and sometimes even how many enemies you’re going to find in an area. Therefore, it makes sense to wait for certain times before tackling a quest so that your life is a little easier.
How to Wait & Pass Time in Outer Worlds
Unlike the Fallout games you’ll be reminded of when playing Obsidian’s new game, you cannot just wait in one spot to pass time. Instead, you have to go to specific places.
The only place that you can wait and pass time for free in outer Worlds is on your ship. If you’re not nearby your ship though, or are in a town, you do also have the option to purchase a bed at a hotel, where you can stay too.
When resting, you get the option to choose when you want to advance time to, so that you can be ready straight away to head out and tackle the quest you’re in the middle of.
You can rest at a bed to wait and pass time and you’ll fine one on your ship or you can purchase them at any hotel.
That’s everything you need to know about how to wait in Outer Worlds. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite. We have also listed some other helpful guides on the game down below.
