Destiny 2: Essence of Anguish Quest Steps

The Dreambane Armor, the new set from the Moon, is obtainable and re-rollable through a series of short quests that are doled out through the Lectern of Enchantment once it’s unlocked. Here’s how to get and complete the Essence of Anguish Destiny 2 quest steps and obtain the Dreambane Greaves.

Essence of Anguish Destiny 2: Shadowkeep

Whether you’re just trying to progress through the main campaign of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep or you’re past that and you just want to roll the dice for some better perks on the Moon armor set, Dreambane, you’ll need to complete quests such as the Essence of Anguish.

First things first, when you’re grabbing the bounty from the Lectern of Enchantment, you’ll need a Phantasmal Core. These are obtained either through weekly bounties from the Lectern, or by exchanging Phantasmal Fragments for Cores. Anyway, once you have the Phantasmal Core and you have the Essence of Anguish quest, you simply need to follow the directions which are different for each piece of Dreambane Armor.

For example, in this case you need to complete daily bounties from Eris Morn to cleanse the Essence of Anguish. That’s a pretty easy one. All you need to do is grab three bounties from Eris right around the corner, any three you want, complete them, and you’ll be able to complete the Essence of Anguish and obtain the Dreambane Greaves.

Each essence is different, and you’ll need to check the requirements for each. Note, while the first essences you get for the Dreambane armor in the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep campaign are freebies, you’ll need those Phantasmal Cores to keep rolling. This is extremely likely as the higher power level you get, the more likely you are to get god roll armor 2.0 equipment.
