How Long Borderlands 3 Takes to Beat

If you like lots of guns, leveling up characters, and an eccentric robot that talks a whole lotta shit, then you’ll probably enjoy what Borderlands 3 has to offer. If you’re planning on picking it up, you may be wondering how long Borderlands 3 takes to beat.

How Long Is Borderlands 3’s Campaign?

Borderlands 3 takes anywhere between 25 and 35 hours to complete depending on a number of different factors. If you’re playing through the entire game on your own, it might take you longer to beat than someone who’s playing with three friends in online co-op.

Similarly, it’ll depend on how quickly you level up your character, how many side missions you decide to dive into (which can add a chunk onto your play time), and whether or not you’re interested with clearing out Crew Challenges on each planet.

All of this is essentially optional (aside from leveling your character, obviously), but can help you get your Vault Hunter ready to take on the final challenge.

As such, you can start pushing that completion time up higher and higher the longer you spend just enjoying the worlds that Gearbox has created in Borderlands 3, or seeking out the various Crew Challenge collectibles.

Is There Much End Game?

Just because you’ve beaten the main story, though, doesn’t mean you’re necessarily done in the world of Pandora and beyond.

Reaching the max level, completing the end game trials, upping the difficulty in Mayhem Mode, and taking on New Game Plus are just a handful of the things you can do once you’ve cleared the main story missions.

The end game is where you can really pour a ton of extra time into Borderlands 3 on top of that 25-35 hour estimate we gave you for simply beating the game.

That’s everything you need to know on how long Borderlands 3 takes to beat. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding guide wiki.
