It’s only been one day since Nintendo unveiled their cheaper, portable-only version of the Switch, but fans are already going wild and creating their own Switch Lite mock-ups.
There are only three colors announced for the new system thus far –turquoise, yellow, and grey– so people are going out of their way to show off their editing skills and put out their amazing designs for the world to see.
I’ve been looking through Twitter since the initial reveal and have come across some interesting fan mock-ups that deserve to be seen by the masses. Let’s check them out, shall we?
Not sure why, but the classic Game Boy design always looks great on any Nintendo console –maybe it’s those reddish face buttons:

This Animal Crossing-themed Switch Lite has faux wood grain colors and makes you feel like you’re out in the wilderness with the green shoulder and face buttons:

It’s a shame more people haven’t played Xenoblade Chronicles 2:

Breath of the Wild gave us the freedom to explore the vast world of Hyrule without any limitations. This green and mustard-colored Switch Lite mock-up brings out the beauty of the wilderness:

Lopunny is definitely one of the best rabbit Pokemon out there and I’m sure people would throw their wallet for this mock-up:

We showed of Tom’s Game Boy design at the top of this article, but another Twitter user that goes by McCoy Customs has created several mock-ups inspired by Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and everyone’s favorite orange-colored GameCube controller:
Wow! Great minds think alike holy crap!!! I saw this making the rounds and was so confused cause I made one as well. I like your shade of off white. I added a few other renders for you to check out! #NintendoSwitchLite pic.twitter.com/XH8EFv4a5C

And last but not least, my favorite mock-up on this list is this gorgeous GameCube-themed Switch Lite that even has a yellow C-stick that is just asking to be touched:
