In the latest installment of the famed fighter game, players can not only customize their favorite fighters with unique moves and outfits, but they can also customize their Kombat Kard, which is how other players will identify you. Before we discuss how to customize it though, it’s important we discuss exactly what these are first.
What Is a Kombat Kard in Mortal Kombat 11
While there is plenty of customization to be had in Mortal Kombat 11, there’s plenty to customize within the game elsewhere, such as your Kombat Kard.
This is basically your in-game ID. You, the player, will have a card that can have different backgrounds and icons. Most will see how you’ve customized this card when you play online.
As you play through the game, you’ll earn more icons and backgrounds to swap in and out of your card.
How to Customize Your Kombat Kard in Mortal Kombat 11
To customize your Kombat Kard, you first need to head to the main menu. Once there, hold L2/LT/ZL and then press the Options/Menu/Plus button.
From there, you’ll see all of the icons and backgrounds that you’ve unlocked. Press X/A/B to select the one you want to use and save it by selecting the save options at the bottom of the screen.
How to Unlock More Kombat Kards
To unlock additional cards, play through the game’s various modes such as story mode or towers. You can also use coins to unlock chests in the crypt that contain icons and backgrounds as well.
Some of the icons and backgrounds will contain a hint one how to get it, which you can see by hovering over it, so keep an eye on those if you’re have one in mind you especially want to unlock.
Don’t expect each icon and background to give you a hint, though.
