Developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo, Dead or Alive 6 is the latest entry in the popular fighting game series. As with all fighting games, you’ll certainly need to know how to block attacks, and we’ve got you covered on that front. Here’s how to block in Dead or Alive 6.

Blocking attacks is a key part of surviving and doing well in your fights in the game. To block, all you have to do is hold back, or hold the square button (X button on Xbox One) and your character will perform a standing guard.

By doing this, you’ll be able to guard against all high and mid attacks. However, this will still leave you open to low attacks. Thankfully, there’s a way for you to counter those as well.

To block against low attacks, hold down and back, or hold down and square (again, X button on Xbox One) in the game.

Do note that you need to be aware of where your opponent is positioned when holding back. Generally in most fighting games, back will be the direction away from your opponent, relative to where you are. So if your opponent is to your right, holding the stick left will count as you holding back, and allow you to guard.

When you hold down the relevant buttons to block, you’ll be able to block all the incoming damage from an enemy combo, which gives you a great opportunity to react and counter once they’re left wide open in Dead or Alive 6.

That’s all you need to know about how to block attacks in Dead or Alive 6. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our Dead or Alive 6 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
