In a Rockstar Newswire post, the first title update for the Red Dead Online Beta will contain new clothing, emotes, and two new guns: the Evans Repeater rifle and the Rare Shotgun.

The update will also contain new modes like the “Fool’s Gold” Free Roam Event, where players battle each other over a suit of golden armor to claim as their own and earn points for kills while wearing it, and three Showdown Modes: Up in Smoke, Spoils of War and Plunder. The three modes will focus on delivering bags, stealing loot, and surviving, though Rockstar plans to reveal more details around those modes.

Two new types of races are coming with the update: Target Races and Open Target Races. Target Races have players shoot targets while on horseback and passing through checkpoints on a linear track, while Open Target Races have players try to shoot the most targets on horseback in a more open setting.

Target Races will be available for all platforms, while Open Target Races will be only available to PlayStation 4 players as early access. PlayStation 4 owners will also receive early access on the new Jawbone Knife, clothing options, and three emotes.

The Red Dead Online Beta title update on Feb. 26 will also contain changes to the radar, bounty, and Parlay and Feud systems which Rockstar announced last week. The studio is offering 20% more XP on all activities within the online mode leading up to the patch.
