Far Cry New Dawn is the newest installment in the Far Cry franchise. Taking place seventeen years after the events of Far Cry 5, players will be inhabiting a very different Hope County, Montana. Here’s how to change and use throwable weapons in Far Cry New Dawn.

How to Change Throwable Weapons

In Far Cry New Dawn, you’ll be switching between your different throwable weapons quite often to mix things up for each situation.

These weapons can be accessed through the weapon wheel by holding either L1 or LB on your controller. Use up and down on the D-Pad to navigate through your inventory of throwables. When you’ve found the one you want, simply left go of the L1 or LB and you’ll have equipped a different throwable weapon.

How to Use Them & Craft More in Far Cry New Dawn

Once you’ve found the one you want, you’ll be able to use it by selecting it in the inventory and using R1 or RB to use throwable weapons. Holding the button down readies it, and releasing it will result in you throwing it wherever your reticle is pointing.

You can also craft throwable items in your crafting menu. This is great for making sure your inventory is always stocked if you’re strapped for cash while exploring Hope County.

To do this, press and hold the L1 or LB button while out explore again. Use the d-pad to navigate to the throwable you want to craft, and then press Square on PS4, or X on Xbox One in order to craft another.

It’s worth noting you will need the required crafting materials, and some throwable weapons in Far Cry New Dawn require you to have upgraded facilities at Propsperity, too.
