Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is getting a definitive edition, and it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Revealed during the Feb. 13, 2019 Nintendo Direct, the new release of the latest entry in the Dragon Quest franchise is will provide players with the base game as well as several new features that are exclusive to the new Switch version.
Key among them are the options to switch between the game’s standard graphical style and a new 16-bit art style, as well as being able to switch between the game’s original soundtrack and a new, fully orchestrated one.
Both new features are supported throughout the entirety of the game, and can be switched on and off at any time.
The announcement also came with a reveal trailer, which can be viewed down below.
First coming to the West in 2018, Dragon Quest Xi was met with a largely positive reception from Fans and Critics alike. It was praised for its modernized JRPG esthetic and story, as well as its diverse and fleshed out cast of characters.
Nintendo Switch owners can look forward to experiencing the newly refined adventure for themselves when Dragon Quest XI comes to the console in Fall of 2019.
