Apex Legends: How to Get Your Ultimate Fast

How to Get Your Ultimate Fast in Apex Legends

The addition of heroes to a battle royale-style game is at the heart of what makes Apex Legends such a unique multiplayer experience. Each “Legend” has special abilities: tactical, passive, and ultimate. Here’s how to get your Ultimate fast in Apex Legends.

While passive abilities are available straight away at the start of a match, tactical and ultimates need time to charge. Your ultimate, in particular, will quite a bit of time to prepare itself before you can unleash it. And we’ve noticed that certain ults do take longer to charge than others. We suspect that’s a balancing measure.

But there are two ways to get your ultimate fast, to have it charge quicker than normal so your squad can keep taking advantage of its perks.

The first is easy: kill enemies. Your ult will charge faster if you’re actively downing enemies.

Secondly, and perhaps less obviously, you can use ultimate accelerants. This is an item that does exactly what it sounds like: accelerates the rate at which your ultimate charges. They can be found as rare floor or supply pod loot, and it looks like a floppy disc.

Once you’ve found one, open your inventory and consume it when you’re ready. You’ll see your character pull out a device and connect it to the accelerator, which will automatically boost your ultimate charge by 20%.

Obviously, you’ll typically want to use the accelerant almost as soon as you get it (unless your ult is charged). One tactic is to consider which squad member would benefit from using it the most. For example, it’s useful to always have Lifeline charged and ready to drop her supply pods — although not towards the late game where it might give your position away.

That’s all the information you should need about how to get your Ultimate fast in Apex Legends. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
