PS4 Trailer “Shows Why PlayStation Is the Best Place to Play;” CEO Comments on PS4’s Success

Today, during Sony’s press conference at CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida showcased a new trailer for the PS4 showing off some of the most relevant available and upcoming games for the console.

Yoshida-san introduced the trailer mentioning that it “shows why PlayStation is the Best Place to Play” and provided his own comments on the most recent sales figures that were announced today.

In particular, he boasted the partnership with outstanding third-party game creators and “best-in-class award-winning” first-party games.

“PS4 sold-through 5.6 Million Units this Holiday season. The Cumulative sell-through since its launch has reached over 91 million units worldwide. Sony Interactive Entertainment is connecting game creators with one of the largest and most passionate gamer communities. We’re very fortunate to continue our partnership with a number of outstanding third-party game creators ranging from triple-A titles to indie games.

Additionally, we’re delivering best-in-class award-winning titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, and Gran Turismo. Our Direct-to consumers PlayStation Network has a highly engaged community of over 90 million monthly active users.
