New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Launch Trailer Gives Us More of the Anomaly That Is Peachette

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is out on the Switch and to celebrate this updated port of the Wii U exclusive, Nintendo has released an extensive launch trailer that goes in-depth on the main game, New Super Luigi U, and the neat features that have been added like the new playable characters and the simply confusing addition that is Peachette.

The biggest inclusion in this port of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is the strange new item called the Super Crown that can only be used by Toadette. We don’t know why, but the crown turns Toadette into a strange version of Princess Peach that makes the game very easy for those new to platformers or the Mario series in general.

With the Super Crown, Peachette can perform double jumps, float through the air, and to top it all off, you will bounce up from the dead if you manage to fall down a pit.

This version of the game includes the previously released standalone content called New Super Luigi U, which lets you play through the same stages present in the main game, but with way more of a challenge. The timer is set to 100 seconds, making each level stressful as heck and keep in mind that Luigi has slippery feet, which makes the whole ordeal even more difficult.

You can check out the launch trailer down below to see Peachette and the rest of the Mario crew in action:

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is out now on the Nintendo Switch. If you still have a Wii U sitting around, you can play the original version on that console as well, but we all know the Switch is the best place to play this collection.
