The base-building strategy game Star Trek Fleet Command is certainly causing a stir, mostly because the IP is one familiar to fans from the original PC games back in the 1990s. This latest title, though, has debuted on mobile, available on both Google Play and the Apple Store.
Unfortunately, if you’re both a PC gamer and an avid Star Trek fan looking to get your hands on the game, you’ll have to stick with mobile. There is no PC port of Star Trek Fleet Command as of yet, and no word on whether there are any plans to bring it across moving forward.
What we can at least say is that the game does work pretty well as a mobile experience, and it’s obviously been designed in a similar blueprint to a Clash of Clans or something similar. Basically, if you’re put off by the notion of playing a Star Trek game on mobile then we’d encourage you to give this one a go.
Fleet Command has a relatively decent story that respects the lore in a way that fans of the franchise will appreciate regardless of the platform. And as we’ve already mentioned, the gameplay feels well-suited to a mobile experience.
