Long Gone Days is a charming 2D RPG that has been on Steam early access since March and has drawn the attention of many thanks to its interesting theme and setting, and the absolutely charming pixel art.
Developer and Artist Camila Gormaz recently took to Twitter to share a glimpse at how the game’s lovely art came to be. You can check it out in the gallery at the bottom of the post.
We get to see the first mockup she created for an in-game scene and a few drawings created to figure out the look and feel of the battle system.
Speaking of Long Gone Days’ battle system, Gormaz also mentioned that she is glad that it ended up looking way better than the original concept. If you want to see what it actually looks like, you can check out the latest trailer that has been released back at the beginning of the month.
The game recently received a full release window and it’s coming in April 2019. If you’re not willing to wait, it’s already available via Steam early access, and it’s even discounted. At $11.99, it’s definitely worth the plunge, and then some.
At the moment, we don’t know whether Long Gone Days will come to other platforms besides Windows, Mac, and Linux, but Gormaz didn’t exclude the possibility after the full release of the game. We’ll have to wait and see on that front.
