dishonored 2, update

Dishonored 2 & Death of the Outsider Get New Mission+, Black & White Modes in Free Update

While the series is, seemingly, taking a bit of a break, Bethesda has a surprise treat in store for fans of Dishonored 2 and its standalone expansion, Dishonored: Death Of the Outsider. A new free update was released, adding two new modes to both games on all platforms.

The Mission+ mode lets players revisit any completed mission in the campaign and experiment freely with all available weapons and powers. Dishonored 2 did a great job with both of them, giving Emily and Corvo access to tricks that catered to different approaches. Being able to go wild with them sounds like a good enough reason to warrant a reinstall.

Black and White mode doesn’t change much on the gameplay side of things, but applies an old-timey, moody filter to the game’s visuals. The blood stays red, though. The filter can also be toggled on and off at any time.

All players need to do in order to get access to these two new modes is log into their Bethesda.net accounts from Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider’s main menus.

Logging into your Bethesda.net account in Dishonored 2 also rewards the Imperial Assassin’s Pack, which was originally a pre-order bonus. The pack contains the Duelist’s Luck and Void Favor bone charms, the in-game book Goodbye, Karnaca – A Musician’s Farewell, 500 coins, alongside an Antique Serkonan Guitar for Emily and Corvo to interact with.
