Pokemon Let’s Go: Best Nature for Vulpix

Best Nature for Vulpix in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee has finally reached the hands of the biggest Pokemaniacs. We here at Twinfinite loved it! It streamlines some of the gameplay such as catching, but that doesn’t mean it skips out on all the strategy. If you’re here, you’re likely wondering about the best nature for Vulpix. Let’s get into it!

Vulpix, the cute seven-tailed fox, eventually evolves into Ninetales, a useful pure Fire type Pokemon. If you have the Alolan form, it will evolve into an Ice/Fairy type instead.

Without abilities in Pokemon Let’s Go, the final evolved form of Ninetales isn’t as effective (in either form) as it was in Sun and Moon, but it still has its uses, usually as a lead for your team.

In that case, when going for the best nature for Vulpix, you definitely want to prioritize Speed. For leads, your goal is almost always to out-speed the other Pokemon, except for some very rare cases.

Even if you’re not leading, Ninetales’ fragility needs be supported then by lots of Speed to ensure it attacks before it gets hit.

Vulpix and Ninetales’ physical attack sets are terrible, so the best nature is Timid. Timid boosts Vulpix’s Speed while lowering its Attack, a stat that it does not need at all.

This applies to both Alolan Vulpix and just the regular one. Just keep in mind that they both have very different weaknesses, counters, and moves.

You’ll need to consider whether you have a need for Ice, or Fire type attacks. Vulpix doesn’t have the greatest versatility in moves, and it tends to stick to its own type’s attacks.

Ice is the stronger offensive typing but is terrible defensively, while Fire is decent defensive typing provided you can predict common Water and Ground attacks.

That does it for what the best nature is for Vulpix in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. Be sure to check out wiki guide for more tips and tricks.
