Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox One X Enhanced?
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third and final part of the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy from Square Enix and Eidos Montreal. In this game, we’ll finally witness Lara Croft’s transformation into the titular hero, and hopefully watch her dual-wield some pistols while taking down the bad guys. For folks planning on picking the game up on Xbox One X, you’re probably wondering if it’s enhanced for the souped-up console. Well, here’s what we know so far.
According to Square Enix, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will indeed be Xbox One X enhanced, and the game even features a few graphical options you can mess around with. For starters, the game can be rendered in 4K resolution, which is perfect for anyone with a 4K television set. In addition to that, the game can also run in 60 frames per second. However, there’s a catch. Like with most games for the Xbox One X, you have to make a sacrifice either in the frame rate or graphical resolutions department. For instance, when Shadow of the Tomb Raider is being rendered in 4K, it’ll be capped at 30fps. But if you choose to play the game in 1080p, the frame rate can be boosted up to 60 for smoother gameplay and performance.
Both modes will also feature HDR, with improved textures, better lighting, and anisotropic filtering to just make the game look better overall. So, regardless of which mode you choose to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider in, you can rest assured that the game will still look pretty darn good on your Xbox One X.
And that’s pretty much all you need to know if you’re planning on getting Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the Xbox One X. Be sure to check our wiki for more information on the game.
