As August passes us by and September greets us, we will see the removal of more games from Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass service. Xbox Game Pass lets you download and play all of the games on offer for as long as you want, so long as you pay the subscription fee, and great games are added all of the time. In the case of this month, the service just got Dead Rising 2, Hitman, and more. But games are occasionally removed. Aug. 31 will see the removal of seven games.
On the chopping block this month are three Xbox One games and four Xbox 360 games. You could say that more than seven games are being removed seeing as Pac-Man Museum is a compilation of 10 Pac-Man games. Along with this, the classic games Soul Calibur II HD and Galaga Legions DX will also be leaving Xbox Game Pass. In terms of Xbox One games, the biggest title leaving the service this month is Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, the latest in the long-running Soccer franchise. The game is being removed just in time for the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, a game which isn’t currently planned to join the Xbox Game Pass service.
Here are the seven games leaving the service on Aug. 31:
- 10 Second Ninja X – Xbox One
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 – Xbox One
- The Bridge – Xbox One
- Galaga Legions DX – Xbox 360
- Pac-Man Museum – Xbox 360
- SoulCalibur II HD – Xbox 360
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2 – Xbox 360
If any of these games tickle your fancy, you’ll want to check them out before the date of removal. If you’re currently midway through one or more of these games, there’s always the option to purchase the game. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can purchase any game on the Xbox Game Pass with a 20% discount. However, once these games are removed from the service, the discount will no longer be applicable, so snap them up while you can.
