State of Decay 2 drops players back into a dangerous world filled with zombies. You’ll need to explore, craft, and fight to survive against the horde of the undead. Of course, it goes without saying you also need to be extremely careful, because if one of your survivors dies, they’re gone forever. During your treks out of safety in State of Decay 2, you’ll gather plenty of different supplies, and you need to deposit those into your base storage or risk losing them should your character be killed.
It’s actually pretty easy to miss where you need to deposit supplies in State of Decay 2, as the location marker isn’t very specific. Once you head to the location marker instead of going to the Supply Locker, turn around and simply look for the option for Manage Storage to pop up. You’ll know as it’ll be marked by an orange bag icon. If you have any materials in your backpack you can simply hit Y to store them.
Make sure you head back to your base every so often to store items, as you’ll need all the resources you can get to survive, and making the trek to retrieve some valuable items can be a pain.
