Fortnite: Grey Tactical Shotgun – What You Need to Know

What You Need to Know About the Grey Tactical Shotgun in Fortnite Battle Royale

Recommended Videos

Update 3.4 has just hit Fortnite Battle Royale, adding in a guided rocket launcher, new Battle Pass challenges, a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements, and some other changes. One of the other main changes players may have noticed has to do with the color of shotguns, in particular, the seemingly new grey tactical shotgun.

The grey tactical shotgun isn’t “new” in Fortnite Battle Royale per se. This is the old green tactical shotgun with the exact same stats. According to the 3.4 patch notes, the development team opted to adjust the colors of some shotguns to better represent their effectiveness in combat. As such, the green tac shotgun became the grey tactical shotgun, the blue became the green, and the purple became the blue. No other stats have changed, just the colors, so don’t worry too much.

It’s a similar situation with the pump shotguns, with the green being upgraded to a blue, and the grey upgraded to a green. Nothing other than color once again has changed here.

That’s all you need to know about the grey tactical shotgun in Fortnite Battle Royale. So if you see one, don’t be put off just because it’s grey. For more on Fortnite Battle Royale, be sure to check out our wiki.
