You Can Try out the Sonic Forces Demo in English for PS4 Right Now

You don't even have to brush up on your Japanese.

Previously, a Sonic Forces demo dropped for Nintendo Switch, letting fans have a taste of the game ahead of release. It also came to PlayStation 4, though it’s only available via Japanese PlayStation Store accounts. You can play in English, however, if you’re itching to give the game a try before its official debut.

The demo features three playable characters, including Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic, and the Avatar character for three different types of gameplay to test out. Modern Sonic will take on Green Hill, while Classic Sonic will fight against Eggman in a boss battle, and the Avatar character bashes bad guys at the Space Port.

So if you’re one of the many Sonic fans who can’t wait to get their hands on the game when it releases proper, then you’ll want to create a Japanese PSN account and download the Japanese version of the demo so you can get started as soon as possible. There’s a lot to take in, and plenty for you to evaluate whether or not you’re ready to return to the world of Sonic with this new game.
