Quantic Dream’s Indigo Prophecy Remastered is finally ready to make its way to the PS4 on August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe. Otherwise known as Fahrenheit outside the US, the interactive action-adventure game initially came out back in 2005 and managed to gather a cult following thanks in no small part to its cinematic gameplay and immersive story.
The new and improved version of Indigo Prophecy was actually announced in June and supposed to launch last month, however, it seems like the developers eventually decided to delay the game in order to make a few more improvements. According to Quantic Dream, gamers will be able to enjoy all the aspects that made the original so good, only this time in glorious 1080p resolution and with a number of new trophies to collect.
Unlike the original, which was available on the PS2, PC and the original Xbox, the Remastered version of Indigo Prophecy will launch exclusively for the PS4. A similar version for the PC already exists since last January in the form of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered, which was developed and published by Aspyr. No word yet on whether or not the game will also launch for the Xbox One at some point in the future.
