Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – How to Disarm and Get Past Mines

Make sure to stay away.

EMP mines can be quite a pain in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. If you’re not careful, they could disable your augmentations for a short period of time, and drain your health as well. Thankfully, there’s a pretty easy way to deal with them, and you won’t have to purchase any additional augmentations either.

Whenever you come across a mine – these can be planted on the floor or on the side of a wall – be sure to stay away from them. Getting close to a mine will cause it to trigger and explode. Before proceeding, you’ll want to take out a gun, aim at the mine, and shoot it. However, before you do this, make sure you maintain a good bit of distance from the mine. Shooting at it while you’re too close will cause you to get caught up in the blast as well.

Do take note that you won’t be able to use the stun gun or tranquilizer rifle to take out a mine. You have to use a lethal weapon, like the 10mm pistol, or any of your tactical shotguns and combat rifles. One bullet from any of your live weapons will do the trick. Once you’ve shot the mine, let the EMP field fizzle out (if it’s an EMP mine), and then it’ll be safe to proceed.
