Starbound: How to Dye Armor

Starbound: How to Dye Armor

It’s called having a personality!

One of the coolest things you can do in Starbound is change the color of your armor by dyeing it. However, before you can dye your armor, first you need to craft the dye colors that you want. Here are the available colors: blue, red, yellow, black, white, and grey.

The materials for crafting the different colored dyes are all the same. So if you want blue dye, you’ll need a glass block and 15 blue petals. Red dye will require a glass block and 15 red petals, and so on and so forth. To change the color of your dye, simply pick up the dye and right-click the piece that you want to dye, and the color will change appropriately.

You can also get your armor to revert back to its original color by using a dye remover. The dye remover needs to be crafted as well, and you can craft it by using one empty bottle and five healing waters at any crafting table. If you don’t like the color results of your armor dye, simply use the dye remover to undo any changes you’ve made.

Now, you’ll be able to create your own personalized armor in the world of Starbound.
