ARK: Survival Evolved – How to Paint Dinosaurs

We all want to pain dinosaurs. No doubt if dinosaurs existed today, we would be painting them up a storm. Though we may never get that chance, ARK: Survival Evolved does let you paint dinosaurs to your heart’s desire, and here’s how to do just that.

First up, you’re going to need some dye. By mixing water, a fuel source, and the proper number and variety of berries in a Cooking Pot or Industrial Cooker, you can make 5 dyes from a single batch of materials. Figure out what color you want, mix the proper ingredients, light up your cooker, and wait for the process to complete.

Once you have your colors prepared, you’ll need a Paintbrush to do the actual painting. Drag the dye of choice over the Paintbrush to load it, which will give it 10 charges, or clicks. Walk up to a dinosaur, click, and then click again to choose a segment to paint. Look at you, painting a ferocious animal. What better way to survive?

Let us know what glorious colors you’ll be slathering all over your deadly creatures, or show us a rainbow field of Dodos. There’s really no wrong way to paint a dinosaur.
