Always Craft Items

This isn’t very relevant until you’ve gotten a few hours into Homefront: The Revolution. Whenever you’re in a building, keep a look out for shiny, silver items just laying around. If you move close to them, you should receive a button prompt that allows you to scavenge materials and other worthwhile items.

Not only that, you can also interact with the furniture around you. For instance, tapping the interact button next to a couch will allow you to search the cushions, while interacting with cabinets will allow you to open the drawers and check them. Brady isn’t a very tanky character, so looting these areas is always worthwhile, as you never know when you’ll chance upon a health kit.

Once you’ve gathered enough materials, be sure to check your weapon wheel and see if there are any items you can craft on the spot. Molotov cocktails are particularly useful in the early hours of the game, so be sure to craft those whenever you can. There’s no sense in trying to hoard all of your materials.
